The amount of personal information floating around on the internet can be downright scary. We at Sourcelight understand the misgiving you might have about giving personal information in conjunction with your opinions. Rest assured, as a Sourcelight user, your identity is completely anonymous.
All that we require from you is a User ID and password—of your choice—so you can access your Sourcelight Recommendations. That’s it. Period. Because of the way our technology works, we don’t require personal information (such as your name, contact info, mother’s maiden name, blood type, Swiss bank account number or childhood nickname.) Sourcelight recommendations are based on the products being rated—the identities and backgrounds of the people using the Discovery Engine have nothing to do with it. As far as we’re concerned, you’re incognito.
Companies that offer Sourcelight recommendations may ask for personal information from their customers for marketing or other purposes. So while we don’t request, or rely on, personal data from our users, we encourage you to review the privacy policies of our partners to better understand how they protect their customers’ privacy.
