Peter W. Frey – Co-Founder, Board Member
For close to thirty years, Peter taught on the faculty of Northwestern University, where his research focused on machine learning and computer-based decision systems. He?s the author of over 50 academic publications and several commercial software products. In 1991, he co-founded Pattern Recognition Systems to provide forecasting and data analysis services in the areas of consumer credit, targeted marketing, and fraud detection. Peter graduated magna cum laude from Yale University and earned his PhD in experimental psychology at the University of Wisconsin. In 1997, Peter was named Emeritus at Northwestern University.

J. Patrick Sanford – Technical Advisor
Patrick is a professional technology leader with considerable experience designing and implementing business solutions based on advanced Internet technology and architecture. He’s designed and managed the development of numerous software systems including FAA Doppler Radar systems, locomotive simulation systems, image analysis systems, automotive dealer systems and MRP systems. In additio n to product development experience, Patrick’s been involved in global business development and strategic market expansion effort s in Asia Pacific and Latin America. He’s held senior management positions (CTO, Vice President, Director, and Product and Develo pment Manager) in multiple commercial and government software organizations, including ADP Dealers Systems, MIT Lincoln Laboratories, a nd System Software Associates. Prior to joining Sourcelight, Patrick was the Chief Technology Officer for The Global Steel Exchange, an electronic marketplace designed to facilitate purchasing and logistics for the global steel market. Patrick graduated from Va. Tech, i n Blacksburg, VA, with an MS in Computer Science and Application Development.

Shilad Sen – Algorithm Architecture and Design
Shilad received undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Saxophone Performance from Northwestern University. He joined Sourcelight in 1998 serving as an Architectural Engineer and Software Manager. He has been a key member of the technical team for the ongoing design and development of the Sourcelight predictive analytics engine for movies and music. Shilad is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota. His research focuses are Recommender Systems and Protein Structure Prediction.

Dan Frankowski – Algorithm Architecture and Design
Dan has an undergraduate degree in mathematics (with honors) from Oberlin College, Ohio. He received a Fulbright grant to study mathematics in Budapest, Hungary for one year. He received his master's degree in computer science from the University of Minnesota with a 4.0 G.P.A. He worked at Net Perceptions as an algorithms engineer from 1997 until 2003, helping to produce some of their most successful algorithms. Net Perceptions was a leader in collaborative filtering and personalization, and later, online marketing. Dan left Net Perceptions to join the GroupLens research group at the University ofMinnesota in 2003 as its staff scientist. He has co-authored several papers on using social science to improve the experiences of participants in online communities.

Jon Tilkemeier – Strategic Consultant
Jon is a general management consultant focused on delivering results through the development and implementation of growth initiatives and improved operations. He currently is focused on helping cutting-edge technology companies in various stages of development. Prior to this he served as a member of the management team at Matha McDonald, a boutique consultancy helping Fortune 500 clients in the areas of change management and strategy execution. He has worked for Leo Burnett in Brand Strategy, Ameritech in corporate strategy, and managed a publicly traded home building company. He has also worked with McKinsey and Company and General Atlantic Partners to help build companies around in-house intellectual properties.
